UTILIZARE
Present Perfect Tense Continuous exprimă:
- o acțiune începută în trecut care se continuă și în prezent.
I have been studying for the exam since morning. – Studiez pentru examen de dimineață.
Mary has been doing her homework for an hour. – Maria își face temele de o oră.
Se traduce prin INDICATIV PREZENT
2. o acțiune trecută încheiată foarte aproape de momentul prezent, ale cărei urmări se pot vedea:
His hair is wet because he has been swimming.
His hands are dirty. He‘s been gardening.
3. acțiuni care se repetă:
Mother has been ringing me up all day.
4. acțiuni de scurtă durată, temporare:
The man has been reading the newspaper all afternoon.
Present perfect continuous se foloseste de asemenea pentru actiuni recent incheiate al caror efect persista inca in prezent.
Ex: Somebody has been smoking in the living room.(it smells of cigarettes)
It has been raining all day long.(Now it isn’t raining anymore,but the grass is still wet )
I’m dead tired..I’ve been working like a dog all day today.
